
TOWN OF INNISFIL ANNOUNCES FACILITY CLOSURES
IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Innisfil, ON – In a proactive effort to flatten the COVID-19 pandemic locally and protect residents, the Town of Innisfil has announced further cancellations and closures. Refunds will be available and we apologize for the inconvenience and disruptions. Innisfil ideaLAB & Library
All library branches will be closed and programs cancelled until April 6, 2020. This includes all March Break programs and special events. Customer service can be reached at (705) 431-7410 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Residents can access e-books, e-audio and downloads at www.innisfilidealab.ca
Innisfil Recreation Complex, Stroud Arena & Lefroy Arena
The Innisfil Recreational Complex and YMCA will close at the end of the day and remain closed until April 6, 2020. In addition, all other Town arenas are also closed and programming is cancelled. For information about refunds contact Active Innisfil at 705-436-3710 or activeinnisfil@innisfil.ca
Fire Stations
All fire stations are closed to the public, but remain operational.
The target re-opening date for these facilities is Monday, April 6, however we will be monitoring this evolving situation closely.
Council Meetings
In addition to these closures, the Special Council Meeting “Planning Public Meeting – Staff Report DSR-042-20 – Innisfil Beach Road and Lakelands Avenue Zoning and Shoreline By-law Amendments” scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 has been cancelled. This meeting will be rescheduled at a later date. A decision on the March 25 Regular Council Meeting will be made and communicated to residents in the coming days.
Open Facilities
Town Hall remains open, however, visitors will be limited to public areas of the building. We encourage residents to utilize online resources available at www.innisfil.ca or to contact Customer Service at 705-436-3710 or inquiry@innisfil.ca.
The Rizzardo Health & Wellness Centre also remains open, however all Town programming scheduled to take place at this location has been cancelled.
The Provincial Offences Court continues to operate at the Churchill Community Centre at this time.
The Town is exploring alternative service delivery methods and more information will be available in the coming days.
Please delay your visit to any Town facility and contact your health care provider or Telehealth Ontario (1-866-797-0000) if you have a fever and/or new onset of cough or difficulty breathing and in the 14 days before symptom onset you have:
· been to a COVID-19 impacted area;
· been in close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19;
· or been in close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness who has been to a COVID-19 impacted area.
The Town of Innisfil is working closely with the Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit and other community partners to monitor the COVID-19 situation.
