The South Simcoe Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance as it investigates an armed home invasion in Innisfil.
On Thursday, February 19th, at roughly 3:00 a.m., officers responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a home invasion in progress at a residence on Dale Road. Initial reports indicate three male suspects, believed to be armed with firearms, broke the front door windows to gain entry into the home.
Investigators say the suspects entered the residence and later fled the area in a black Acura TLX bearing Ontario licence plate CVCT 393. The vehicle had previously been reported stolen from the Toronto on January 22nd.
Three occupants were inside the home at the time of the incident. No physical injuries were reported. Police say the incident appears isolated and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
The suspects are described by police as:
- Suspect #1 – Black male, approximately 6’1” to 6’3” tall, wearing a dark-coloured hooded sweater and a neck gaiter covering his face and head.
- Suspect #2 – White male, approximately 5’7” to 5’8” tall, wearing a black hooded sweater.
- Suspect #3 – Short male with a large build.
Police are asking anyone with information, including surveillance or dash cam footage from February 19th between 2:40 a.m. and 3:15 a.m. in the area of Dale Road, Hunter Street or Dawson Crescent, to contact Investigative Services at 905-775-3311 ext. 1461 or email investigations@southsimcoepolice.ca.
