Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle collision on Coulter Street in Barrie last week after an SUV crashed into a construction site.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene at around 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3rd and found the vehicle several feet down inside a construction pit. Investigators say the construction area was clearly marked and surrounded by metal fencing.
According to police, the SUV struck a metal fence support post before going over the edge and falling into the excavation area.

Emergency crews worked to safely remove the driver from the site. A 27-year-old woman was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been factors in the collision.
The vehicle has since been removed from the construction site and the investigation remains ongoing.
