The Town of Innisfil will officially open Jackson Park next week, welcoming residents to explore the community’s newest recreational space in the Lakehaven development.
The eight-acre park, located at 751 Lockhart Road, will be celebrated with a community event featuring family-friendly activities, entertainment and a ceremonial ribbon cutting honouring former mayor Brian Jackson.
Jackson Park includes a range of amenities designed for residents of all ages, including an accessible playground with rubber safety surfacing, outdoor fitness equipment, walking trails, a seasonal sledding hill and a pavilion.
The park was delivered through a partnership between the Town of Innisfil, Parkbridge and Mattamy Homes, helping accelerate construction and bring the new recreational space online sooner for residents.
Mayor Lynn Dollin and members of council will join residents and project partners for the official opening celebration.
The grand opening is scheduled for Thursday, June 18th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a rain date of June 23rd if required. The event will give residents an opportunity to explore the park’s features and enjoy an evening of community activities in Innisfil’s growing Lakehaven neighbourhood.
