Premier Doug Ford was in Alliston Thursday afternoon (oct 11).
The Premier was posing with area first responders as announced upgrades to the Public Safety Radio Network.
The communication network is relied on by frontline and emergency responders during emergencies.
Ford says the system is antiquated.
The announcement was made at the Nottawasaga OPP Detachment.
The Premier was joined by the Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services, Michael Tibollo and Simcoe Grey MPP and Economic Development Minister Jim Wilson.
Minister Tibollo says the new network is expected to be fully operational by 2023.
