A snow squall watch is in effect.
Environment Canada says the snow should intensify Thursday (dec 6) evening as winds pick up.
They say some areas may see accumulations in excess of 15 cm by Friday.
The weather office says travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
The snow squall activity should weaken Friday morning (dec 7).
