We told you earlier this week Stevenson Memorial Hospital has named a new Chief of Staff
Dr. Jaco Scheeres is currently the Chief of Obstetrics at Stevenson Memorial and will transition to his new role in January 2022.
Despite the times, Dr Scheeres says he had no doubt he wanted the job.
He says his being a long time member of the medical staff and having to work with other departments in his role as an OB gave him a leg up.
Dr. Scheeres will continue to support the Obstetrics Unit while in his role as Chief of Staff, as well as Gynecology Clinic and limited surgeries.
He will be replacing Dr. Barry Nathanson as who held the role of Chief of Staff since December 2016.
