Winter parking restrictions in Bradford West Gwillimbury (BWG) will go in effect on Friday, December 1st.
Between 2:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m. every day, on-street parking on BWG roads will be prohibited.
There will be exceptions! Where posted, on-street parking in Downtown Bradford will be prohibited between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. This extra will be to accommodate businesses that are open later. Downtown Bradford is defined as:
- Holland Street West to Holland Court;
- Holland Street East to Nelson Street;
- Simcoe Road South to Centre Street; and,
- Barrie Street North to John Street.
BWG’s Winter Parking Restriction is also lifted on January 1st of each year to encourage safe New Year’s Eve celebrations.
If you get a parking ticket from the Town of BWG between Friday, December 1st and Thursday, December 14th for overnight on-street parking, you can “pay” your ticket through the Town’s Toys for Tickets campaign. This annual campaign allows ticket holders to donate new toys in lieu of paying their ticket.
To participate in the campaign, bring your parking ticket, new toy(s), and purchase receipt to the Town of BWG’s Administration Office at 100 Dissette Street, Units 7 & 8, by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 15th.
Note:
- toys must be purchased from a store in BWG;
- toys must be new, unwrapped, in their original packaging, and of equal or greater value (after taxes) to the parking ticket; and,
- you must present the receipt to confirm the purchase price of your donated toy(s).
The Administration office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All toys will be donated to WOW Living’s Christmas Wishlist Program.
Winter parking restrictions will be lifted on Monday, April 1st (and no, that is no joke).
