
Police have made additional arrests in an ongoing human trafficking investigation named Project Chameleon.
In May of this year (2023) South Simcoe Police received a report that a female was being held in a residence in Innisfil for the purpose of providing sexual services.
Multiple searches resulted in the arrest of three people.
Three females were also safely removed from a residence.
Further investigation has lead to the arrest of 3 additional people.
A 36 year old male from Innisfil…Trafficking in Persons.
A 44 year old Newmarket resident…Trafficking in Persons, Advertising Sexual Services and Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (CDSA).
A 54 year old from Wasaga Beach… Trafficking in Persons and Procuring.
All 3 remain in custody.
