The extreme cold weather came in handy for something.
The ice surfaces at 2 local ice rinks are now ready for use.
The outdoor rinks were flooded at the Riverdale Park in Alliston and Beeton Community Park.
The cold snap helped freeze the ice pads.
While not guaranteed to be in perfect condition, they are ready to go.
The outdoor rink in Tottenham is also open.
That rink is equipped with a cement pad and refrigeration system.
