Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland is set to present the federal budget this afternoon, following a countrywide tour that teased many of the items to be included in the document.
Last week Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his government’s plan to tackle the housing crisis, which he promised will build nearly 3.9 million homes by 2031.
The Liberal government also plans to boost military spending to 1.76 per cent of GDP by 2030.
Ottawa is setting aside $2.4 billion to funnel into artificial intelligence.
Money is also being promised for School food programs and Youth mental health.
