Police are reminding drivers to share the road with vehicles possibly much smaller than yourself.
This is Motorcycle Safety Week (may1-5).
The OPP say in the past 10 years, 370 motorcyclists have lost their lives in Ontario Provincial Police jurisdictions.
Between 2014 and 2023, excessive speed, failing to yield right of way, driver inattention and losing control accounted for more than 50 per cent of biker fatalities.
46 per cent of the actions were on the motorcyclist.
The remaining can be attributed to the other driver.
Many collisions happen at intersections or on the open highway.
