A province-wide investigation into online child exploitation that began in February has led to the arrests of 64 people.
Earlier today the OPP revealed the details of Project Aquatic, with investigators identifying and laying close to 350 charges against those responsible for making, possessing and
distributing child sexual abuse material.
During the investigation, it’s alleged one individual set up a meeting with undercover investigators intending to meet with a child for a sexual purpose.
Another person was found to be in possession of approximately 21 terabytes of data containing child sexual abuse material.
34 victims were identified and provided with victim support, and 30 impacted children were safeguarded.
More than 600 electronic devices were seized during the investigation.
