A new elementary school in the Town of Innisfil is set to open this fall.
It will go under the name St. André Bessette Catholic School and will accommodate upwards of 401 students and has room for three child-care rooms.
The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board chose the name after collecting name suggestions from students, staff, and family members.
Narrowing it down to three finalists.
A community-wide vote then resulted in the name being chosen.
The facility is located near the intersection of 20th Sideroad and Killarney Beach Road.
Registrations are being accepted now, when it opens in September of this year it students from both Holy Cross and St. Francis of Assisi will switch over.
