If you are looking to escape the heat, area beaches are a safe bet.
All the usual swimming holes are open and listed as safe for use.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit regularly tests the water and will list those deemed unsafe.
A “Posted Beach” indicates there is a high level of bacteria present in the water and swimmers should either find else where to swim, or if they go in, keep their
head above water.
Beaches with extremely high levels of bacteria will be closed to residents.
