Low Cost Rabies Clinics are being offered across Simcoe County, in an effort to ensure family pets don’t contract the virus.
According to the law, all domesticated dogs and cats over the age of 3-months must be vaccinated against rabies.
The rabies vaccine will protect family pets from common strains of the virus found in foxes, raccoons, and bats.
Several clinics are available within the next few weeks and only cost $30 per animal.
The clinics are cash only and most take walk-ins.
All pets must be at least three months of age.
Dogs must be leashed and cats in carriers.
