A 40-year-old man from Bradford has been charged with three counts of criminal harassment following a police investigation into a suspicious incident earlier in September.
Barrie Police say the investigation began after officers responded to a report on September 16th involving a male who allegedly engaged in an inappropriate conversation with female victims on their way to school.
The man was arrested on September 25th by detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division. He has since been released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on October 22nd.
Police are using this case as a reminder for parents to speak with their children about how to handle interactions with strangers and to review safety plans regularly.
To protect the victims and prevent revictimization, investigators say no additional details about the incident will be released.
