The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has announced a major partnership with York University’s YSpace Northern Hub, connecting local entrepreneurs directly to the Greater Toronto Area’s innovation network for the first time.
The six-month pilot program, running from October to March marks an expansion of the town’s Bradford Catalyst Centre and a key step in strengthening local business growth.
“This partnership represents a strategic investment that positions BWG as a regional hub for innovation while keeping our entrepreneurs rooted in their home community,” says BWG Mayor James Leduc.
The initiative, valued at $250,000, will offer business owners access to YSpace’s extensive resources, expert mentorship, startup training, and exclusive perks through the Bradford Catalyst Centre at 177 Church Street.
Entrepreneurs will also benefit from hands-on support through business consultations, networking mixers, founder training, and a Startup Showcase highlighting early-stage ventures. YSpace has a proven record of success, having supported more than 1,400 companies that have generated over $350 million in revenue and created 2,000 jobs.
The partnership will conclude with a detailed economic development report in February, helping guide future innovation strategies for the town.
BWG residents interested in joining can apply now here.
