A 48-year-old New Tecumseth resident is facing impaired driving charges after Nottawasaga OPP responded to reports of an erratic driver near Highway 89 and County Road 10 in Essa Township over the weekend.
At around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26th, witnesses said the vehicle was swerving and running red lights before officers located it and spoke with the driver.
Police determined the driver was impaired by alcohol and made an arrest.
The accused is charged with:
- Operation while impaired (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
They’re scheduled to appear in a Bradford court on November 27th.
