Residents are invited to honour Canadian veterans at Remembrance Day ceremonies held across Innisfil over several days.
Services will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 547 on Saturday, November 8th, Cookstown Cenotaph and Sandycove Acres on Sunday, November 9th, and Innisfil Town Hall on Tuesday, November 11th, all beginning at 10:45 a.m.
“Remembrance Day is a time to come together to remember the sacrifices and achievements of the brave Canadians who served, and continue to serve, our country at home and abroad,” says Mayor Lynn Dollin. “I invite all residents to join us for a moment of silence at ceremonies across Innisfil as we acknowledge the debt of gratitude we owe to our Veterans and service members who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedoms.”
The Innisfil ideaLAB & Library is also inviting patrons to write a Poppy of Remembrance throughout November.
