A new 40-bed modular facility has arrived in Barrie, marking the County of Simcoe’s largest modular purchase to date.
The site will form part of the Campus of Care, announced with Barrie Cares in October, and will support the County’s winter response strategy by offering 24/7 shelter and on-site services to help residents transition to permanent housing.
Expected to open in the coming weeks, the project aligns with the County’s 10-Point Homelessness Prevention Strategy, which aims to expand affordable housing, increase rent subsidies, and improve shelter capacity across Simcoe County.
