A 21-year-old Barrie man faces multiple charges after being stopped by Barrie Police this week.
On Wednesday, November 5th, officers stopped the driver on Bayfield Street near Cundles Road just before 1:00 a.m. for invalid licence plates and a suspected insurance issue.
They determined the vehicle was uninsured, unregistered in the driver’s name, and displaying unauthorized plates.
The licence plates were seized, and the vehicle was towed from the scene. The driver was charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance and using plates not authorized for the vehicle.
He is scheduled to appear in Barrie Provincial Offences Court on January 23rd.
