The Town of Innisfil is once again offering residents the chance to turn parking fines into goodwill through its ‘Scrooge the Ticket’ campaign.
Anyone who receives a parking ticket during the campaign can donate to the Troy Scott Community Fridge or Innisfil Food Bank instead of paying the fine.
“Scrooge the Ticket has become an annual holiday tradition that helps bring joy and relief to families in our community,” says Mayor Lynn Dollin. “I’m grateful to our Municipal Law Enforcement Officers for their compassion in leading this initiative and to our residents for their generous support.”
It will run from Saturday, November 15th to Saturday, November 29th.
Donations (monetary or toy contributions of equal or greater value) can be made online through Innisfil E-Services or in person at Town Hall (2101 Innisfil Beach Road) by 4:30 p.m. on November 29th.
In 2024, the campaign raised nearly $8,500, bringing the total to almost $42,000 since its launch.
