Bradford West Gwillimbury Councillor Jonathan Scott joined conservation experts and government representatives at the 2025 Latornell Conservation Symposium in Vaughan last week.
As Chair of the Green Initiatives Advisory Committee (GIAC), Scott presented on BWG’s practical environmental solutions, including water protection, energy efficiency, and active transportation.
Mayor James Leduc praised the town’s progress, noting more than 15 environmental resolutions passed since 2022.
BWG’s initiatives, such as snow filtration, schoolyard reforestation, and phosphorus reduction, were highlighted as models of local climate leadership.
