Barrie Police vehicle
A 76-year-old man was arrested last week after multiple alarms were triggered at a car dealership on Mapleview Drive West in Barrie.
Officers were called to the business at roughly 2:16 a.m. and arrived within minutes, where they found a lone male on the property. Police say the suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to Barrie Police Headquarters as the investigation continued.
The man is now charged with break and enter, along with an additional count of failing to comply with a probation order. He was held in custody and appeared in court by video for a bail hearing.
