South Simcoe Police are asking witnesses to come forward after a grey Audi SUV drove through a pedestrian trail to bypass parade road closures during the Innisfil Santa Claus Parade last weekend.
The vehicle was reportedly denied access to the parade at the Sobey’s parking lot on Sunday, November 23rd, between 2:20 and 2:35 p.m. The SUV was then seen in the Shoppers Drug Mart/Scotiabank plaza on Innisfil Beach Road. When unable to exit due to the parade, the driver jumped a curb and drove through a pedestrian catwalk south of the plaza, emerging onto Jans Boulevard.

No injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Sergeant Steve Black at steve.black@southsimcoepolice.ca, or provide an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
