Police are investigating a suspicious early-morning fire that damaged a newly built, unoccupied home in New Tecumseth.
Nottawasaga OPP and New Tecumseth Fire Rescue were called to Lawrence D. Pridham Avenue at around 4:22 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25th after reports of a structure fire in a new subdivision near 14th Line. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze, and no injuries were reported.
Investigators say surveillance footage shows three suspects arriving at the home at around 3:50 a.m. in a blue Hyundai Elantra and leaving the scene at 4:09 a.m. with two gas cans. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Police are asking anyone with information, or anyone in the area with dashcam or home security footage between 3:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., to contact the Nottawasaga OPP Major Crime Unit at 1-800-310-1122, quoting occurrence number E251590150.
