The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury (BWG) is reminding residents that winter parking restrictions go into effect in December.
These restrictions prohibit on-street parking between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on all BWG roadways.
To help support the community, the Town is once again running its Toys for Tickets campaign. Anyone who receives an overnight parking ticket between December 1st and December 14th can donate new toys instead of paying the fine. To participate, bring your ticket, the new unwrapped toy(s), and purchase receipt to the BWG Administration Office (100 Dissette Street, Units 7 & 8) by 4:30 p.m. on December 17th. Toys must be bought in BWG and must be equal or greater in value (after tax) to the ticket amount. All donations will go to Out of the Cold Cafe.
Some exceptions apply: posted areas in Downtown Bradford have parking restrictions from 3:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m. to accommodate late-operating businesses, and the winter parking ban is lifted on January 1st each year to support safe New Year’s Eve celebrations.
The restrictions will be lifted on April 1st, 2026.
