Centre ice for the Alliston Hornets
The Alliston Hornets didn’t have a great weekend.
On Friday, December 5th, the Hornets welcomed in the Stayner Siskins to the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre.
It was all Stayner in this one, with the Siskins scoring four goals through the first two periods. Alliston then got on the board in the final frame, with Mark Coish scoring his 9th of the year. That was all for both teams, as Stayner beat Alliston 4-1.
It was a quick turnaround for the Hornets as they then hosted the Midland Flyers on Saturday, December 6th.
Midland opened the scoring in the first period, with the Hornets quickly responding. Noah Prokopec’s 3rd of the season tied the game as they entered the first intermission.
That was where the positive news ended for the Hornets as they let in four unanswered goals to lose 5-1 to the Flyers.
Anthony Lovisa was in net for the Hornets for both games over the weekend.
The Hornets now host the Penetang Kings on Wednesday, December 10th at 7:30 p.m. Ticket details are here.
