A 24-year-old New Tecumseth resident has been charged with impaired driving following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 89 over the weekend,
Nottawasaga OPP were called to Highway 89 westbound, west of County Road 10, shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th, after receiving reports that two vehicles were blocking the right lane and that one driver appeared unconscious behind the wheel.
Officers confirmed no one was injured in the crash.
Police say they observed signs of impairment from one of the drivers during the investigation, leading to charges:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in Bradford in January.
