South Simcoe Police have charged a Kleinburg man after a dangerous driving incident in Bradford West Gwillimbury earlier this week.
Police say the incident began at around 9:05 p.m. on Monday, December 8th, when witnesses reported a grey Toyota RAV4 swerving into oncoming traffic on Holland Street East before striking a parked vehicle and leaving the scene. Officers located the vehicle a short time later on Holland Street West and arrested the driver, where evidence of drug use was found inside the SUV.
A 28-year-old man from Kleinburg is now facing several charges:
- Careless Driving
- Failure to Stop After an Accident
- Flight from Peace Officer
- Drive Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available
Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be laid.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in January.
