The Town of New Tecumseth is temporarily lifting enforcement of its overnight parking by-law to accommodate residents during the holiday season.
The Town says overnight parking restrictions, which normally prohibit parking on streets between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., will not be enforced from Friday, December 19th through midnight on January 1st. The temporary suspension is intended to help residents and visitors celebrate the holidays safely and with fewer concerns about parking tickets. Municipal officials are reminding motorists to remain mindful of winter conditions and ensure parked vehicles do not interfere with snowplow operations or emergency access.
The overnight parking by-law suspension applies town-wide during the holiday period, with full enforcement resuming after January 1st.
