South Simcoe Police are investigating a daytime home invasion in Bradford that left one person injured.
On Friday, February 13th, at roughly 1:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence on McCann Crescent in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
Investigators say three masked male suspects forced their way into the home, with two reportedly armed with handguns. Once inside, one of the suspects allegedly struck an occupant in the face. The three suspects then fled the scene in a grey Honda Civic bearing Ontario licence plate CTKS 832. Police say the vehicle had been reported stolen in the City of Toronto on February 10th.
The injured occupant was transported to hospital for assessment, treated and later released. Two other occupants were inside the home at the time but were not physically injured.
Police say the incident appears to be isolated and there is no ongoing risk to public safety. However, residents in the areas of McCann Crescent, Vipond Way and Belfry Drive can expect to see an increased police presence as the investigation continues.
Officers have obtained video footage from the surrounding area and are releasing images of the suspects and the stolen vehicle as they appeal to the public for assistance.
