The Town of Innisfil raised $4,200 for the Troy Scott Community Fridges during its annual Share the Love campaign on Valentine’s Day.
12 couples took part in the initiative, either exchanging vows or renewing their commitments through civil marriage ceremonies held at Innisfil Town Hall. All ceremony fees collected during the event were donated, turning each couple’s milestone into direct community support.
“Share the Love is a community tradition that celebrates the love couples share, but also turns that joy outward,” says Mayor Lynn Dollin. “We’re grateful to everyone who chose to host their ceremony with us and contribute to this wonderful initiative.”
Funds raised will support the Troy Scott Community Fridges, a neighbours-helping-neighbours program that helps ensure residents have access to nutritious food when needed. The donations allow Town staff to purchase fresh produce, prepared meals and essential personal care items to keep the fridges and pantries stocked.
Community fridge locations include:

- Innisfil ideaLAB & Library – Cookstown Branch – West side, 20 Church Street
