
The Innisfil ideaLAB & Library, in partnership with Making Change, is inviting the community to the 3rd annual Radiant Roots Black Cultural Expo at its Lakeshore Branch.
The event will feature cultural vendors, food, crafts, and live entertainment for all ages, including music from DJ Maxx and a Pan African Fashion Show on the main stage. From 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., local author Roxann Whittingham will read from her book Ajoke’s Journey to Belonging, while artwork by Angela Francis will be on display. From 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., artist Sheresha McIntyre will lead a creative collage-making workshop.
Making Change is a not-for-profit organization launched in 2019 and led by a community of Black women, coordinating local activities, projects, and events through collaboration and partnerships.
Radiant Roots takes place Saturday, February 28th, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Lakeshore Branch, located at 967 Innisfil Beach Road in Innisfil. Library staff and partners will be available on-site to answer questions.
