The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board (SMCDSB) is now accepting nominations for its 2026 Celebrating Excellence Evening, recognizing outstanding achievements by students, staff and graduates.
Awards include the Empower Simcoe Inclusion Excellence Awards, Seton Awards for Faith and Service, Lwanga Equity Vanguard Awards, Provincial or National Achievement in Academics, Arts and Athletics, and Outstanding Graduates. Categories are open to current SMCDSB students and staff, with the Outstanding Graduate award honouring one graduate from each of the board’s nine Catholic high schools.
Recipients will be recognized May 21st, during the board’s annual Celebrating Excellence Evening. Nominations are open until April 10th through the online Celebrating Excellence Nomination Form.
The board is encouraging community members to nominate individuals or groups who have demonstrated inclusion, faith, service, equity or high-level provincial or national achievement.
