Road work is set to resume on a key stretch of Queen Street in New Tecumseth, with construction expected to begin this spring.
The Town says Lisbon Paving Co. Ltd. will carry out improvements between Nolan Road and the Tottenham Water Tower, with work anticipated to be completed by May 30th.
The project will include removing the existing asphalt, repaving the roadway, and adding new pavement markings, including designated parking spaces.
To minimize disruptions, one lane of traffic will remain open during working hours, while both lanes will reopen when crews are off-site. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the project.
Residents may experience temporary driveway interruptions, but the contractor will coordinate directly with property owners to reduce impacts and arrange alternate parking if needed.
Drivers are advised to expect minor delays and to follow all posted signage and directions from on-site crews while travelling through the construction zone.
