A temporary road closure is coming to part of New Tecumseth as reconstruction work gets underway on Lionel Stone Avenue East.
The Town has announced that Lionel Stone Avenue East, from Queen Street South to Adeline Avenue, will be closed from May 4th through August 21st to accommodate the project.
Work will include full road reconstruction, sewer replacement, new sidewalks and curbs, updated lighting, and restoration work. Officials note that some minor preparatory work may begin ahead of the full closure under single-lane restrictions.
Local and emergency access will be maintained throughout the construction period, though residents are encouraged to plan ahead and expect delays in the area.
