A Barrie man is facing multiple charges following an alleged assault and confinement incident inside a transport truck.
According to Barrie Police, officers responded shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Monday, March 30th, after receiving a report of a woman calling for help.

Officers later located the suspect inside the truck and arrested him without incident. A 43-year-old Barrie man has been charged with:
- Theft Under $5,000
- Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm
- Assault
- Forcible Confinement
The victim, a 42-year-old Barrie woman, did not suffer serious injuries. Police say the transport truck has been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
