Run and Ride
The Kiwanis Club of South Simcoe is inviting the Alliston community to take part in a special fundraising stop during an upcoming cross-Ontario endurance journey supporting Kerry’s Place Autism Services.
Local Alliston resident and police officer Adam McEachern will be embarking on the Autism Heroes Roadtrip, a run and ride initiative taking place from April 30th to May 17th, with stops across Ontario including Windsor, Brampton, Alliston, Newmarket, and Ottawa. The journey will raise funds and awareness for Kerry’s Place Autism Services.
As part of the local support effort, Alliston will host a community spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Tuesday, May 5th, at the Alliston Legion (Hall Side). The event will feature two seating times:
- 5:00–6:00 p.m.
- 6:15–7:15 p.m.
Tickets are priced at $10, with all proceeds going toward the cause.
Organizers say the event is meant to bring the community together in support of McEachern’s journey while raising awareness for autism services across Ontario.
McEachern’s Autism Heroes Roadtrip is expected to cover multiple communities over nearly three weeks, with participants able to purchase event shirts and socks as part of the fundraiser. All proceeds from the initiative will go directly to Kerry’s Place Autism Services.
More information about the journey and the broader campaign is available here, while local dinner ticket inquiries can be made here or by contacting carbboostdinner@gmail.com.
