The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) is seeking two community members with financial and business expertise to join its Audit Committee for a three-year term beginning this spring.
The committee, which includes three trustees and two independent members, supports the Board of Trustees in areas such as financial reporting, external audits, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Applicants should have experience in governance, risk management, finance, or law, along with an understanding of oversight in large organizations. Candidates must also hold a recognized accounting designation, such as CPA, and cannot be current board staff or officers.
The committee meets at least three times annually, with additional meetings as needed, and training is provided. Members are reimbursed for approved travel and training expenses.
