The Government of Ontario is investing in emergency preparedness in Adjala-Tosorontio with new funding aimed at strengthening local response capabilities.
Up to $50,000 is being provided through the Community Emergency Preparedness Grant (CEPG), with the announcement made last week by Brian Saunderson alongside local officials and members of the Adjala-Tosorontio Fire Department.
The funding will be used to enhance wildland fire response and overall emergency readiness by purchasing equipment such as portable pumps, forestry hoses, chainsaws with safety gear, radios, and mobile road sign boards.
Officials say the investment will help improve response to wildfires, severe weather events, and power outages, while boosting long-term community resilience.
The CEPG program supports municipalities, First Nations, and local organizations across the province, with Ontario investing $15 million since 2023 to strengthen emergency preparedness.
