Rending of Stevenson Memorial Hospital
The Town of New Tecumseth is accelerating its support for local healthcare with a major funding decision.
Council has approved the immediate release of its full $750,000 pledge to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation, supporting the redevelopment of Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
By releasing the funds ahead of schedule, the Town’s contribution will be fully matched through the campaign backed by the Morningview Foundation, effectively doubling the investment to $1.5 million.
The announcement comes as construction on the hospital’s expansion is now officially underway, marking a significant milestone in the long-anticipated project.
Officials say the funding will support the “Because of YOU” campaign, helping to enhance healthcare services with upgrades such as an expanded emergency department, new surgical suites, a birthing unit, and modernized patient care spaces to meet the needs of the growing community.
