Dufferin OPP has arrested one individual and seized prohibited weapons following the execution of a search warrant in Orangeville.
On May 28th shortly after 5:30 a.m., members of the Dufferin OPP Community Street Crime Unit , with assistance from the Nottawasaga CSCU, Collingwood CSCU, and Dufferin B Platoon, executed a search warrant at a residence on Montgomery Boulevard.
As a result of the investigation, one individual, who is currently on a weapons prohibition, was arrested. Officers also seized several prohibited weapons.
A 52-year-old male from Orangeville, has been charged with:
• Failure to comply with a prohibition order
and
• Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
Three prohibited knives were seized. The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Dufferin OPP.
