Residents are invited to cheer on local first responders later this month as members of New Tecumseth Fire Rescue take on the local Ontario Provincial Police detachment in a community baseball game.
The friendly matchup between New Tecumseth Fire Rescue and the Nottawasaga OPP is scheduled for Saturday, June 27th at PPG Park in Alliston. Activities will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with first pitch set for 11 a.m.
In addition to the game, attendees can enjoy a free barbecue, fire station and fire truck tours, and police cruiser tours.
Organizers are also encouraging visitors to bring non-perishable food donations to support the local food bank.
The event is designed as a family-friendly community day that gives residents an opportunity to meet local firefighters and police officers while supporting a good cause.
