The Town of New Tecumseth is inviting residents to take part in a special ceremony recognizing the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, June 18th at noon at Town Hall and will commemorate a century of service and support provided by the organization to veterans, military families and communities across Canada.
Town officials say the ceremony will provide an opportunity to reflect on the Legion’s history and recognize its contributions over the past 100 years.
Founded in 1925, the Royal Canadian Legion has played a significant role in advocating for veterans, supporting remembrance initiatives and providing community programs across the country.
