An Alliston man is among six people charged in connection with a homicide investigation in Aurora.
York Regional Police say officers responded to an unknown trouble call at a residence near Wellington Street East and Walton Road on Wednesday, June 10th at about 2:45 p.m.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from significant trauma. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was later identified as 55-year-old David Gosse, who police said had no fixed address. A post-mortem examination determined the cause of death was blunt force trauma.
As a result of the investigation, six individuals have been charged, including 44-year-old James Montgomery of Alliston, who is charged with second-degree murder.
Five other people have also been charged in connection with the case, including Craig Wilson, 31, of no fixed address; Jaymie White, 36, of Georgina; Fabio Faganello, 58, of Aurora; Maria Faganello, 54, of Aurora; and Bianka Faganello, 29, of Aurora.
Police have not released additional details regarding the circumstances of the homicide or the specific roles alleged for each accused.
Investigators say the investigation remains ongoing and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, has not yet spoken with police, or may have security camera footage from the area to come forward.
