Among those honoured was Donna Jebb, who received the Senior of the Year award. A longtime supporter of local organizations and youth initiatives, Jebb was recognized for a lifetime of service rooted in farming, family, and community involvement.
Darlene Blendick was named Adult Volunteer of the Year for her leadership and dedication to local healthcare. Her work with Stevenson Memorial Hospital over more than a decade has helped strengthen healthcare services in the community.
Council also recognized two young volunteers with Youth Volunteer Service Awards. Nathan Tan was honoured for contributing more than 1,200 volunteer hours through church and community programs, while Shayessha Paraneetharan was recognized for more than 700 hours of service supporting students and local initiatives.
In addition, Chief Administrative Officer Neil Garbe received the Ontario Municipal Administrators’ Association Long Service Recognition Award, marking 10 years of leadership with the Town.
Mayor Richard Norcross and Council said the recipients represent the dedication, compassion, and community spirit that help make New Tecumseth a strong and welcoming place to live.
