The Town of New Tecumseth is pushing back against what it describes as misinformation surrounding the ongoing Lionel Stone Avenue East Reconstruction Project.
In a public update, Town officials said they want to reassure residents that the project remains on track and is proceeding as originally planned.
According to the Town, construction is continuing on schedule, within the approved budget, and in line with the project’s original scope. Officials also stressed that there have been no changes to the design or delivery of the reconstruction work.
The statement comes as information about the project continues to circulate within the community, prompting the Town to clarify the current status of the work.
Construction crews remain active on the project, with officials noting that significant work is still required before completion. The project is currently expected to wrap up in late August.
Town staff acknowledged that major construction projects often generate questions and concerns among residents and encouraged the public to rely on official sources for updates.
