The Nottawasaga OPP are renewing their appeal for information on the one-year anniversary of a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a Richmond Hill woman in Innisfil.
Shortly after 3:00 a.m. on July 13th, 2025, officers responded to Highway 89 near 5th Side Road, where 35-year-old Jessica Follett was found dead on the shoulder of the roadway.
Investigators determined Follett had been walking along Highway 89 when she was struck by an eastbound blue passenger vehicle shortly after 2:00 a.m. The driver fled the scene without stopping.
Police believe the driver of a white SUV travelling closely behind the suspect vehicle at the time of the collision may have witnessed what happened and are urging that person to come forward.
Anyone with information, including dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision, is asked to contact the Nottawasaga OPP and reference incident number E250924642. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
